Wow, summer flew by so quickly. We’re days away from autumn, and I used every sunny day to complete garden work. There are about five more sunny days before it rains for several days and the temperature drops by ten degrees.
The last few days of summer, coupled with my new business venture, made me stray from writing stories. Actually, it was mostly flu that kept me away from the keyboard for the last week.
For the past seven weeks, I uploaded a new short story every single week. Unfortunately, I ended that streak this week because of my illness. Not to worry. I will start writing a new short story tomorrow, and I’ll publish it next Friday.
Sometimes in life, you have to do side projects to support your main goal. That’s what I’m doing at the moment, and I eventually will get back on the path that I need to be. It’s sometimes necessary to deviate slightly so that when you veer back on the straight and narrow, you pick up the pace because you collected resources that enabled you to fast-track your journey. That’s where I’m at the moment.
Also, on Monday, 15 September, I celebrated my forty-first birthday. Wow. I can’t believe that I’m well into my forties. Hopefully, I will live for, at least, another forty-one years.
Considering I’m ageing, I’m working harder on my goals than ever before. Time is of the essence, and I need to get a move on.
That’s everything I wanted to share with you this week. Check in next Friday for a new short story. I am truly grateful that you visit this blog to check in on my writing. It is my honour to have you read my stories.
