In 2021, I published my debut novel, My Wife and Girlfriend. For the first two years, I hardly did any marketing for the book. But then, in 2024, I started getting reviews for it, and most of them were positive. Sure, some people didn’t like the book, but most of the reviews were either a four or five-star rating.
I was thrilled to see that some people really enjoyed the book. That gave me the motivation to publish the next book in the series. I have already written all three books in the trilogy, but I was hesitant to release the sequel because I was uncertain of the reaction that people would have towards the first book.
Now that I’ve seen a lot of people liked the first book, they may want to read the sequel. I finished the first draft of the sequel several years ago, but I started working on it again in January 2025. I want to polish the story before it goes to my private reader group for scrutiny.
After I receive their comments, I’ll make the appropriate adjustments, and then the book will be edited. My goal is to publish the sequel this year. The sooner, the better. But I’m not going to rush the publication because I want the final product to be really good.
